Purpose

VISION

To be a community of patriots that reveres and is knowledgeable about The U.S. Constitution, especially The Bill of Rights, promotes its virtues, and vigorously engages in its defense.

MISSION

  • Rediscover The U.S. Constitution with special emphasis on its limited government provisions and The Bill of Rights.
  • Recognize and practice responsibilities that come with freedom.
  • Become more proficient at recognizing intrusions on our freedom.
  • Help reestablish a culture of freedom-loving Americans who appreciate the concepts of limited government.
  • Remain aware of government actions that erode freedom and respond proactively as individuals, in small groups, and in cooperation with like-minded organizations and individuals.
  • Hold elected officials accountable, regardless of their position or party, for their words and actions like an “ant on an elephant’s fanny.” (attributed to: Russell Potts)
  • Develop concern for all freedoms defined by The U.S. Constitution, even those that do not directly affect us.
  • Allow our anger and frustration to inspire us to voice our opinions and take action in all ways legal and non-violent.
  • Be inspired by love of country and the ideals it was founded on rather than anger and hatred toward specific individuals.
  • Maintain focus on all these things without bias or special treatment based on party affiliation, race, creed, gender, nationality, or other irrelevant differences.

“Remember, upon the conduct of each depends the fate of all.”
Alexander the Great

PHILOSOPHIES

1.  We each have a civic duty to be involved in our governance. When “We the People” don’t fulfill our personal and civic responsibilities, a vacuum is created that will always be filled by career politicians, special interest groups, unelected bureaucrats, and private sector organizations, who do not necessarily have our best interests at heart.  Charles de Gaulle, French President 1959-69, stated what was once common knowledge by Americans …

“I have come to the conclusion that politics are too serious a matter
to be left to the politicians.”

2.  We have the power of numbers on our side. Everyone, each doing a little bit together, like a colony of ants, can take down an 800-pound gorilla, a two-ton elephant, and a donkey.

“When many work together for a goal, great things may be accomplished.
It is said a lion cub was killed by a single colony of ants.”
Saskya Pandita

“Ants are good citizens, they place group interests first.”
Clarence Day

3.  We will stand up for all God-given freedoms. We will not allow those who are inclined to take away our freedoms, no matter how pure their motives and we will resist their divide and conquer strategy.

“United we stand, divided we fall.”
Aesop

4.  Loss of freedom occurs in many forms.  Some of these include: laws, judicial rulings, regulations, ordinances, zoning, inflation, and taxes.  For example, all taxation which supports debt represents a loss of financial freedom.

“Americans spend much of their adult lives paying taxes in various forms.
We should end this practice of paying a tax that is triggered only by debt.”
Jennifer Dunn

CONCLUSION

American government at all levels continues to expand in size and power.  The time for concerned citizens (the ants) to get busy is NOW!

“The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield
and government to gain ground.
As yet our spirits are free.”
Thomas Jefferson

“Go to the ant, you sluggard!
Consider her ways and be wise,
Which, having no captain, overseer or ruler,
Provides her supplies in the summer,

And gathers her food in the harvest.”
Bible, Proverbs 6:6-8
